Meet the Team

Mary is a Senior Research Associate at Massey University. Her research focuses on understanding how social and economic inequalities influence health across the life course. She is interested in the ways that inequalities throughout the lifespan accumulate in later life and prevent older people from ageing well.

Chrissy is a māmā of five, and Professor Public Health in the School of Health Sciences, Massey University. She holds particular expertise in health promotion and community health. Her research maintains a critical public health lens to identify challenges, risks and determinants of health for communities to inform action.

Felicity is a Ngāpuhi mother to three tamariki. She currently leads the Research Team at Hāpai te Hauora providing experience in leading, advising, teaching, researching and supervising projects centered around kaupapa Māori and whānau centred initiatives. Felicity has a particular interest in how health and wellbeing is supported in whānau during pregnancy, birth and parenting.

Angelique (Ngāpuhi) is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Health Sciences, Massey University. Her teaching and research are dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of whānau. She concentrates on enhancing awareness of the advantages of whānau and community-based initiatives, influencing policy and practice to support local health efforts, and underscoring the significance of culturally based interventions.
